Y2W28 - It is sooo December
I say it is sooo December because the stress has now set in. This was a long week. Greg had late work nights almost every night this week. I stayed up late, late, late, doing Christmas present research on the Internet. The kids had two Christmas parties and their school Christmas Market was on Saturday. Bailey was required to work at one of the fundraising booths and really it is our only opportunity to have the traditional meeting with Santa prior to Christmas so we waited in line for about 45 minutes to do this.
Another highlight of the week is I finally made good on my promise to Bailey that when she turned 8 years old, she would be able to get her ears pierced. I asked some friends at school and they recommended that we get it done at a Jeweller in Beuel. They were great. They pierced both of her ears at the same time. She was very brave. No tears. I was glad that I got to take her and share the experience with her. Way to go, Bay!
We went to a small town of Rech on Saturday evening because we heard they had a special Weihnachtsmarkt. It was only this weekend so we went. It didn't seem that much different from the others but it was in a really cool area of the Eifel Region. We had a great time together. Here I am eating yet again. It seems from the pictures that all we do at the Christmas markets is eat!
Not sure if it was worth it though, as someone at Church asked Avery if she saw Santa yesterday and she couldn't remember.
